Jack is pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Peru, Indiana, and chaplain for the Peru Police & Fire Departments, the Miami County Sheriff's Department and the Indiana State Police. Jack was at Ground Zero in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attack, and in New Orleans, following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. He ministers to victims, and to emergency personnel alike.

Follow this link to Marty's Struggle http://martysstruggle.blogspot.com This blog is dedicated to the memory of Marty Hess, who earned her eternal reward on August 12th, 2007. It was begun during Marty's illness, as a method for Marty and Jack to keep family and friends apprised of their fight with cancer and their faith journey. As Marty's health deteriorated, their faith remained strong. Jack's updates served not only as a record of their ordeal, but as inspiring missives, calling us all to a stronger faith, a closer walk with our savior, Jesus Christ. This blog is now closed to new posts, but remains accessible - in memory to Marty, and to the example she provided, of trust and faith in Jesus Christ, the knowledge that God has a plan for each of us, and the assurance that God is good, all the time.
